What is the BEST Meditation Technique?
I get a lot of questions from people about what the best meditation technique is. Or how long to meditate to get the best results.
The problem is that there’s no best technique, no best length of time, no best anything.
The reason is that we don’t all have the same needs, or the same challenges. But even more importantly, the best meditation for you is the meditation you’ll follow through with.
You see, some meditation is better than no meditation. Any meditation technique is better than no technique.
We easily get caught up in the kind of thinking that sabotages us. We think we want the most benefits, the biggest benefits, or we don’t think it’s worth doing at all.
Meditation teaches us to go slow, to think differently. Meditation gives us the gift of spaciousness.
This spaciousness comes in the form of room to think more clearly, but it’s a slow process. Especially in the beginning. Try different techniques, don’t get set on the idea that the one you’re doing now needs to be your forever technique.
So give yourself the gift of going slowly. Allow yourself to be imperfect in your journey. Be present in the current moment, and don’t try to force things.
By letting go of our expectations, we’re able to experience the full beauty of meditation.
